Known for its gorgeous lakes, great wildlife spotting opportunities, stunning mountain peaks, scenic drives, and of course legendary hikes, there’s a reason Rocky Mountain National Park is one of the top five most-visited national parks in the country: it is both incredibly beautiful and has something for everyone.

Attend
Elk Fest

05

Elk Fest, a favorite of locals and tourists alike, started in 1999 as a way to celebrate the famous and spectacular elk rut (mating season) in Estes Park. The festival hosts arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, educational presentations with wildlife experts from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, the Wallowing Hole beer tent, axe throwing, and a fun-for-the-whole-family bugling contest.
